What is the Florida BRITE project?

It’s a free statewide program that identifies adults 55 and older who are at risk for medication misuse and/or alcohol abuse.

Individualized in-home health screening
Personalized assessment
Health education intervention
Advice and problem solving
Advocacy
Information and referral
Free of charge

Who will benefit from BRITE?

Residents of Highlands County
Ages 55 and older
Interested in identifying non-dependant substance and/or prescription medication issues
Interest in learning effective prevention strategies
