About The Breast Care Center

Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center along with many local specialists are partnered to bring the highest available standards in Breast Care and Breast Cancer Care close to home.

Our highly trained staff includes Board Certified Radiologists, and a Fellowship Trained Breast Radiologist, Registered Mammographers, Ultrasonographers and a Nurse Navigator.  Our Comprehensive Breast Program, based on national standards in Breast Care and Breast Cancer Care, offers a team approach for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Through the accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) as well as certification by the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCBC), Florida Hospital Breast Care Center is held to the highest standards in breast care. These are the same standards and processes that govern larger breast programs in Orlando and Tampa without the hassle of leaving town.

The daily Quality Management of the Radiologists, Technologists and the equipment, along with the ongoing review of our practices and processes assures that our patients will receive the care that is consistent with evidence based, best practices also available in large well established Breast Care Centers. Our specially trained Nurse Navigator  guides patients each step of the way, based on their individual needs, providing coordination of care from biopsy through treatment, recovery and beyond.

In addition to the highest quality care you can expect from our dedicated team, the environment at our Breast Centers has been designed to meet our patient’s needs. The “Spa” like atmosphere is geared to relax,  ease tension and promote health and healing. This is the type of environment you will find at both our SeaScape South Imaging campus and within our new Breast Care Center inside Florida Hospital.
